(Sorry!) And yet, I still leave every library, indie bookstore and major chain staggering under a pile of books I couldn't resist.</p><p> So looking through all the new releases each week is a pleasure.</p><p> This week, I found new titles from best-selling favorites like Danielle Steel and Erik Larson, some delicious cookbooks, promising debuts set in contemporary China and the multiverse and–yes–a book about real pirates! I would have loved it as a kid after reading Treasure Island and will love it today as an adult who still says "arrgghhh" at the drop of a hat.</p><p> And what a week in book history!
