5/02/2005 11:22:00 AMEgypt really is in some serious turmoil. Terrorists (includingwomen) attacked a bus of tourists and killed some. The"Enough!" movement continues to inspire streetdemonstrations. And now a group of 1,200 judges have againdemanded full and complete independence from thegovernment before they'll agree to monitor the upcomingelection.Before I jump to the conclusion that the elections in Iraqinspired all of this, I'll note that the protestors often chantanti-US slogans as well. (No surprise since we've propped upthe cruel dictator Mubarak for years.) But if it ain't Iraq -- and Ithink it is a major factor -- what's inspiring this wave of unrestin Egypt?
