W E D N E S D AY, F E B R U A RY 1 5 , 2 0 0 6Opus Dei -- Secretive Catholic Group Speaks Out,Sort OfA short time ago, the secretive (and unpleasant) far right Catholicgroup Opus Dei made news by publicly stating it wouldn't be attackingthe summer blockbuster movie The Da Vinci Code starring TomHanks. Smart move, since they would have looked foolishly impotent itthey had -- the movie's going to be a big hit and no one would havecared what Opus Dei said about it. (As a practicing Catholic, I don'tmind saying Opus Dei are nasty, unChristian people with twisted ideasabout flagellation and a hatred of sex and the human body). Today, in anutty move proving how stupid they are, Opus Dei have called forchanges in the movie -- even though they haven't seen it and refuse tosay what changes they think need to be made.
